Who is the Owner of Vogue

Vogue has been owned by Condé Nast since the publisher acquired it in 1909, and that hasn’t changed. What has changed is who runs it day to day. Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor-in-chief from 1988 to 2025, stepped back from that specific title in 2025 — but she didn’t leave. She now serves as Condé Nast’s global chief content officer and remains global editorial director of Vogue across all 27 of its international editions.

Chloe Malle, who joined Vogue as a social editor in 2011 and had been serving as editor of Vogue.com, took over day-to-day operations of the US edition, reporting to Wintour. In her expanded Condé Nast role, Wintour now oversees editorial direction across essentially every Condé Nast title — including Wired, Vanity Fair, GQ, Glamour, Bon Appétit, and more — with the sole exception of The New Yorker.
