The Punjab & Sind Bank incorporated the vision of social commitment to support the weaker section of society in the course of economic endeavors to raise their standard of life. In particular, Punjab & Sind Bank reached among the six banks that were nationalized by the Government of India during the second wave of nationalizations on 15 April 1980.
Moreover, in the 1960s Punjab & Sind Bank rooted a branch in London. Eventually, in 1991 Punjab & Sind Bank’s London branch got acquired by the Bank of Baroda on the commandment of the Reserve Bank of India. Owing to Punjab & Sind’s involvement in the Sethia fraud in 1987.
