VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) is a joint venture between Volvo Group (Sweden) and Eicher Motors (India) — manufacturing Eicher-branded trucks and buses and distributing Volvo heavy trucks in India. Formed in 2008, VECV makes trucks from 5T to 55T GVW under the Eicher brand and is one of India’s top three commercial vehicle makers.

VECV is a joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd (India, 54.4%) and Volvo Group (AB Volvo, Sweden, 45.6%). Eicher Motors is listed on BSE/NSE and is best known for Royal Enfield motorcycles (also under Eicher Motors). Note: Volvo Group (AB Volvo, trucks/buses) is a completely separate company from Volvo Cars (owned by Geely, China) — they share only the Volvo name and historical origins. VECV operates Eicher’s entire truck and bus business while distributing Volvo-branded heavy trucks in India.
