Videocon d2h was operated by Videocon Industries Limited — the conglomerate controlled by the Dhoot family (Venugopal Dhoot). The Videocon Group at its peak had businesses in consumer electronics, oil & gas, and telecom. In 2018, Videocon d2h merged with Dish TV India (Essel Group / Jawahar Goel) to create India’s largest DTH company by subscriber count. The merger was driven by both companies’ need to cut costs in the face of subscriber decline post-Jio’s disruption. Post-merger, the entity is Dish TV India Ltd. History of Videocon d2h

Videocon d2h launched in 2009 with competitive pricing enabled by the Videocon Group’s consumer electronics manufacturing background — it could source set-top boxes cheaply and pass savings to subscribers. At peak it had ~14M subscribers, making it India’s 3rd-largest DTH service. When Jio disrupted India’s media consumption in 2016 (OTT video, low-cost mobile broadband), DTH subscriber growth stalled industry-wide. The merger with Dish TV in 2018 was a defensive consolidation to combine subscriber bases and reduce operational costs.

    1. Sometimes I recharge on my d2h account but didn’t get. Then I call on care number but executive always divert on wepside without any solution. So pls improve your customers service..
      Many time i tried to call on castumer care number. But executive divert 2 self help on wepside don’t given solution on call.. Pls chek and improve yr all call center

  1. no relationship to what you speak and what is real. Simply unable to get your customer care numbers although trying for two hours continuously. I pay subscription for one month and you cut the service within 18 days. what inefficiency? how frustrating to waste time simply for your inefficiency.

  2. Your company’s customer care numbers are not at all accessible. Your nodal office numbers are incorrect. the details furnished in your website regarding phone numbers are not working. This company is rendering great customer disservice and worthy of being closed down.

    1. Since last 20 days I am requesting customer care to repair my d2h but so far no engineer approached. Very Bad response

  3. Third class service I am getting from vediocon d2h. Since last 7 to 8 months their engineers are unable to locate the problem. Lame excuses are being given by them. I am just repenting to select vediocon d2h. I request people don’t go for it.

  4. VERY PATHETIC SERVICE & PRODUCT TOO. I HAVE VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH D2H VIDEOCON. MATERIAL IS VERY LOW & CHEAP QUALITY. IN EVERY 2-3 YEARS NEED TO REPLACE IT FOR WHICH THEY CHARGE HIGHER AMOUNT, ALSO THE TECHNICIAN PERSON TRY TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF IT, THEY TOLD ME DOUBLE PRICE & WHEN I CALL AT CALL CENTER FOR PRICE CONFIRMATION I WAS SHOCKED. HOW THIS PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO MAKE CUSTOMER FOOL.
    I WAS AWARE ABOUT ALL THIS SO I REGISTER COMPLAINT BUT NO USE AS NO ACTION TAKEN INSTEAD OF THAT THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS BY MISTAKE BUT WILL REDUCE AMOUNT & NOW YOU NEED TO PAY HALF PRICE [WHICH IS ACTUAL REAL PRICE]. NO COURTESY TO SAY SORRY OR APOLOGISE.
    DURING THIS PANDEMIC COVID SITUATION NO MASK OR PRECAUTION TAKEN BY TECHNICIAN.
    WHEN I ASK FOR SENIOR ESCALATION NO ONE ESCALATE CASE. THEY JUST SAY WE WILL RESOLVE & CLOSE COMPLAINT BLINDLY.
    EVERY RAINY SEASON I FACE THIS ISSUE. AS DISH WHICH THEY ARE USING IS VERY POOR QUALITY GET RUSTING SOON. ALSO CAMERA IS VERY LOW QUALITY.
    WILL NEVER SUGGEST TO ANY ONE FOR THIS PRODUCT & SERVICE.

  5. Am purchasing a upgrade version of DTH BOX Normal to HD that Actual cost is Rs-749-/ but your technician Mr.Bhaskar Chandra Behera (9692018035) charge me Rs 1000-/.

    He said HDMI cable and remote is extra cost.
    This is the very pathetic service by your side. Am also give a complain but no kind of result form your side. I also need a new antenna but no any kind of service form your side.
