Onsi Sawiris the founder of Orascom Construction was an Egyptian businessman. He was the patriarchal head of the Sawiris family and founder of the Orascom Group conglomerate. he died on 29 June 2021. Sawiris received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Cairo University in 1950 and managed his family’s 52-acre farm for two years after graduation. Sawiris was married to Yousriya Loza Sawiris and had three sons Naguib, Samih, and Nassef. Today, the Orascom conglomerate is run by his three sons.
Nassef Sawiris is the CEO of Orascom Construction. He is an Egyptian billionaire businessman and the youngest of Onsi Sawiris’ three sons. After the death of his father, he is taking care of the company. Nassef Sawiris received his secondary education from the Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule Kairo. Sawiris is married to Sherine, they have four children, live in London, and maintain a residence in New York City.
