Who Owns Royal Challengers Bengaluru?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru is owned by United Spirits Limited — India’s largest spirits company, a subsidiary of Diageo PLC (UK, listed on London Stock Exchange: DGE). Diageo owns Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, and Guinness. United Spirits India (Diageo) controls the RCB IPL franchise. The franchise was previously associated with Vijay Mallya’s UB Group — Mallya sold his United Spirits stake to Diageo in 2013-14 after the Kingfisher Airlines collapse. RCB won its first IPL title in 2024.
